Started as a family vacation guest house, known as Morning Star Guest House, now being developed and refurbished as a Resort with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and chalets. Years passed with thousands of tourists patronizing and our many guests have enjoyed the warm friendly homely atmosphere. A restful eco-friendly ambience of the guest house with good food and courteous service is now renamed as “Morning Star Resort.”

Negombo is one of the major commercial hubs in the country and the administrative Centre of Negombo Division, is known for its long sandy beaches and centuries old fishing industry.
Negombo has passed through the hands of the Portuguese, the Dutch and the British in colonial times. Also, a number of descendants of the Arabic traders still live here. The influences of all these cultures can be seen in the cuisine and the town physically even today.
